Kids at North Iowa Elementary School took part in a Memorial Day coloring contest this year, put on by American Legion Auxiliary Unit 21. Central College in Pella recognized students during Commencement on Saturday, May 16, in the P.H. Kuyper Gymnasium. Caelin Barbour, from Forest City, was one of 251 Central students who were celebrated during Commencement 2026. Barbour worked toward History and Political Science majors.
Four boys from the Bison FFA Chapter earned a Silver rating at the State FFA Ag Mechanics Contest held May 19 at the Iowa State University Ag 450 Farm., Brody Cooper, Myles Henn, Reese Welhousen, and Wyatt Wright competed in five different Ag Mechanic areas, where they had to perform a skills activity and complete a test on each area.

Hello from Timely Mission! It was chilly and rainy this week, but we stayed busy inside doing our daily exercise and games.
Some of our regulars played Farkle on Monday afternoon. Tuesday was trivia day and nifty nails. We enjoyed Bible study Wednesday morning with Larry Gruis and banana splits in the afternoon.
